There’s no way I was waiting around for weeks before I made another, What I’m Doing Now post. So, today we’re taking a peek at what I’ve been doing here lately. Aside from working from home (I’ll post some work from home tips soon), I’ve been homeschooling like crazy.
Not only have I been giving the boys what their teachers have assigned, I have been giving them my own work – which consists mainly of the kits from Five Below for just $5 each. I love that store!
But, if you want to keep current on our day to day happenings, you have to follow my Instagram stories. It all goes down in the stories. LOL.
But, enough about that.
Online School Work and Graduations
Both of my boys were set to promote this year; one from 4th grade and one from 8th grade. So, I was really looking forward to celebrating all of their accomplishments from the academic year. Only with COVID-19, it has all been cut short. But, that’s okay, but I still plan to celebrate them with a virtual graduation celebration where family can tune in, chat with them, and see their graduation set up.
I bought some stuff from Dollar Tree when I was out and it’s been sitting in the car. Towards the end of the month, I’ll decide on the direction I plan to take with the celebration.
I think now even more than before the boys need to be celebrated because their worlds were turned upside down and they have still kept a positive attitude and have been able to get all of their school work completed.
To make their learning more hands on, I’ve ordered Science Kits and Activity Kits from Five Below and picked up supplemental learning packets from Dollar Tree. It has really enhanced their learning. For example, my youngest completed a volcano worksheet and a volcano project, while my oldest completed a STEM Spider Robot. The spider actually crawls and works.
Again, all of the details have been in my Instagram stories. So, follow along for inspiration!
Other Things I’ve Been Doing

- Exercising everyday…well almost
Final Thoughts
Since, this post is a lot longer than I intended, I am going to stop here and create a few more separate posts, especially for the reading. I’ve been reading a lot.
