Winc’s 2016 DIME Red Blend

A little while back, I was provided with a complimentary subscription to Winc Wine to sample their monthly subscription service. Within the subscription I was sent four wines based on a  Palate Profile Quiz that recommends wine based on your unique tastes.

My third bottle from the subscription was Winc’s 2016 DIME Red Blend wine!

According to Winc, “Dime is a perfect ten.” And, I agree! It was dark, fruity, and bold and everyone at our summer party who sampled it – enjoyed it!

This definitely my kind of wine! With Dime, I didn’t feel like I had to leave my comfort zone as it had more of a familiar taste and aroma. I definitely agree that the Palate Profile Quiz did a great job with this recommendation.

This particular Santa Barbara County, California blend took no time for me to get used to. It is “a  blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot from two of the most prime spots in the Santa Ynez Valley and is a wonderful portrayal of where it comes from and how it was made,” according to Winc.

It is recommended that you pop the bottle 20 minutes prior to serving and pair it with heartier foods such as beef, chili, and bbq. I’m guessing this is another reason my party guests enjoyed it because it pairs well with bbq.
