Happy National Underwear Day!
This year marks the 15th year of of celebrating bras, skivvies, and of course, our beautiful human form! In honor of this unusual celebrated day, not only do I have a Cherokee underwear review for you, but I also have a few fun and interesting facts to share.
But, first let’s have a look at these comfy, colorful Cherokee Men’s Classic Briefs in a 5 Pack.
When I ordered these, I actually had my newly middle-school son in mind. He’ll be starting middle-school in just a few weeks and can always use a new pair of briefs.
But, when they came in they looked a little too big for him, even though they were a mens small. So, instead of the hassle of returns, I said, I’ll keep them. Ain’t no shame in my game because women can never have enough underwear, right?
Stats for the Ladies
Yep! That’s right! According to a survey conducted in 2010, published on USA Today, it was found that women own an average of 21 pairs of underwear with 10% of women owning 35 pairs or more. Wow! That’s quite a bit, wouldn’t you say?
What’s even more interesting is that the survey stated, overall 46% of women say briefs are the style they wear the most often. They didn’t say what kind of briefs, so with the stats to back it up, I just may be wearing these comfy Cherokee briefs for an upcoming boudoir photo shoot!
Cherokee Men’s Classic Briefs
The briefs in this five pack of underwear deliver extreme comfort with its fabric’s softness and breathability. They are also pretty stylish with the elastic logo-detailed waistband. These underwear come in four color variations including all black, hues of blues, shades of whites to grays, and finally a colorful patriot pack – which is what I chose for my son. I thought the patriotic pack was super cute.
Speaking of cute…
Did you know that King Tut wanted to be clean and cute in the after life? He sure did! King Tutankhamun, like many of us today value our clean unmentionables. He valued them so much that when he was buried, he was buried with 145 loincloths.
Maybe that survey was wrong? I guess it’s the guys that can never have enough! Haha!
According to the New York Times, King Tutankhamen’s loincloths had 200 threads of linen per inch while ordinary Egyptian loincloths only had 37 to 50 threads per inch.
How fancy!
Feel free to read more about King Tut with my 2014 visit to the Discovery of King Tut Exhibit at Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri.
Final Thoughts
I sure hope you enjoyed today’s post; a little bit of fun mixed with a little bit of facts – all to celebrate a day of our unmentionables! Regardless of how you choose to celebrate, remember that your body is beautiful and deserves to be celebrated!

P.S. The underwear ended up fitting my son perfectly! I guess that means no brief boudoir photo shoot for me. I like mine better, anyway! 😉
