Hey! We’re going to just automatically assume that you read Life Lately | Part 1 first.
If not, you must read that in order to continue here.
*** Okay, see you in 5 minutes!
*** Okay, great! I’m glad you’re back.
Now… in addition to playing games with my youngest son, I have been working with my daughter on sight words and letters using the Letters and First 100 Words Flashcards from Skillmatics and saying affirmations with a box of affirmation cards that I found on Amazon. Both are genuinely great!

I love, love, love them both. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see that I post a lot of the activities that I do with my daughter which typically include us going through the flashcards and affirmation cards. If you do try them, I’d love to know how much your babies enjoy them.
Jurassic Quest is Roaring into Chicago March 3-5th!
Aside from the games and activities that we have been doing, we’re looking forward to attending Jurassic Quest in Chicago in March.

If you haven’t heard about Jurassic Quest, it is North America’s largest, most popular dino event with unique and exciting experiences for the whole family.
You’ll see a herd of life-size animatronic dinosaurs including Apatosaurus, Spinosaurus, T-Rex, and an incredible 50-foot-long Megalodon. You can also interact with their trainers, and baby dinos and watch a live Raptor show.
And, that’s not all! You can also explore their dinosaur rides, giant fossil dig, inflatables, fossil science exhibit, “Triceratots” soft play area, and MORE!
This is all exciting for us because even though the boys are older, exploring dinosaur events has always been our thing.
If you don’t believe me, check out our visits to Dinosaur World in Cave City, Kentucky, Plant City, Florida, and Moccasin Moutain in Utah!
Self-Care
With all of this movement, self-care is needed. Wouldn’t you agree?
Treat yourself like you are the love of your life appeared on an Instagram post in my feed and I immediately began thinking differently about myself. I began to think, what if I actually treated myself like I was the love of my life, how would that change things?
So, one of the first things I began doing was increasing my self-care. I want to be loved, pampered, and well taken care of, so it’s important that I treat myself as such. So, with this concept in mind, I have been serving myself extra shots of self-care lately.
As a matter of fact, I partnered with rue21 this month for an Instagram self-care campaign. Check out the post and video.
I’ve even been including my daughter so that she learns early. It’s been quite enjoyable, so I intend to continue treating myself as if I am the love of my life in other areas, as well. What are your thoughts on this concept? How would you treat yourself if you were the love of your life?
Final Thoughts
Well, in a nutshell, that’s a bit more of what’s been going on lately in my neck of the woods. It really was exciting to be able to share a Life Lately post – because it sure has been a while.
