A few weeks back, I wrote, “This is Your Brain on M&M’s”. In that post, I shared my trip to M&M’s World in Las Vegas, Nevada and also chatted briefly about how I would be hosting a patriotic-themed M&M’s Made for America, Made for Summer Party through Ripple Street.
Ripple Street is the leading influencer marketing platform for connecting brands with their biggest fans. Prior to this platform becoming Ripple Street, it was House Party.
It’s a Party on Brennon’s Street! Ha!
Well, my party came and went. So, today I want to share with you the details – just in case you want to host a similar party for the 4th of July or Labor Day.
Party Guests
When you agree to host a party, you agree to a certain number of party guests in attendance, so my party was a family party of about 10-12 people. But, always feel free to invite more. If you do, however, there won’t be enough party favors to go around, unless you choose to purchase additional supplies and favors on your own.
Food & Snacks
We kept the food simple and grilled hot dogs and burgers. The party package also came with recipes to complete with your guests. Of all the recipes provided, we chose to make grilled M&M’s cones on the grill.
To make them, you simple put marshmallows, chocolate, and M&M’s inside of a sugar cone, wrap them, and briefly grill them. Yummy!
Fun & Games
To make it even more fun, I put a baby pool in the yard with tons of pool floats; partly for the kids and partly for great photo opps.
I also threw in some frisbees, water guns, glow sticks, the slip n slide, and they of course had access to our basketball hoop in the back. This along with music and a candy bar was all we needed to keep the fun going all night.

Decorations
In addition to the goodies sent by Ripple Street such as the apron and sunglasses, I headed to Dollar Tree and Walmart.
From Dollar Tree, I chose a variety of patriotic items such as leis, patriotic balloons, hamburger baskets, paper straws, a yellow bubble gum machine that I filled with M&M’s, etc.
From Walmart, I was so proud of the red peace sign. Unfortunately, I can’t find it online at Walmart, but I did find a similar one on Amazon.
Our party photos were super crazy, so I won’t be posting many on the blog, but I have sprinkled a few throughout this post for you to get a little inspiration.
In the meantime, if you have never hosted a party on House Party or Ripple Street, here’s how it works.
How it works…
You create an account or log in to your account, select the party you are interested in hosting and complete the application. Once the application is complete, you are prompted to complete about 5 activities to be placed in the running to be chosen to host.
A few weeks later, party hosts are chosen based on how many spots are available, if the activities were completed successfully, etc.
If you are a chosen, you are sent an email confirming you as a host. You are then to do another set of activities.
In the meantime, your party pack is sent to you with a pre-planned theme and goodies to host your party.
Your party pack includes the main product for the party – in our case it was M&M’s and Skittles, along with things to get the party started such as an apron, sunglasses, napkins, table cloth, recipe cards, coupons for the guests, etc.
All you have to do is use your creativity…
And, then BOOM! It’s a party!
Do you think you’ll be using any of these ideas for the 4th of July or Labor Day?
