Our Las Vegas Itinerary, Trip #3

I have been so excited about being able to travel again with things being safer than they have been over the past year or so. With this happening, I am excited to get back to posting exciting (and helpful) travel related posts. I miss traveling so freely and documenting our travels as we go.

As a quick recap, in 2017, we made it a family goal to visit all 50 states. So far, we are at about 20 states as a family. The difference now is that my boys are older and they are not as interested in the travel adventures as they were before. While it makes me a wee bit sad, I understand and am not forcing them to travel by any means.

With that in mind, much of our travel adventures will no longer include them. They also won’t be traveling with us to Las Vegas on our upcoming trip either. It will be a couples trip and I am so excited and grateful for that. It’s nice to get some time alone without the kiddos from time to time.

Now that you are all caught up on that, let’s jump into our upcoming itinerary for Las Vegas!

Although I have been to Las Vegas twice in the past, once solo and once with the boys, I haven’t gotten around to everything that I want to experience. In addition to that, there is always something new popping up or my interests change. And, that’s okay. As we live and grow, that’s what happens.

Anwho, here’s the itinerary.

Day 1

Breakfast/Brunch at Cafe Lola.

I recently learned about Cafe Lola on Instagram. According to the website, it is a “modern & unique twist on a traditional European café featuring breakfast, brunch & afternoon tea all day long. Café Lola was named Nevada’s most Instagrammable café by Food Network for it’s unique décor, creative drinks & pink-hued floral walls. With me loving breakfast, brunch, pink, teas, and photo opps, how can I not make a visit?

Bellagio Conservatory

I love beautiful flowers, places, conservatories, arboretums, etc. So when I came across the Bellagio Conservatory, I knew it was a place that I needed to put on my travel bucket list. So, here it is. We plan to spend some time strolling through the Conservatory and checking out the most recent installments.

Area15

After perhaps a power nap, we plan to spend time at Area15. I learned about Area 15 during the holidays last year and immediately jotted the place down in my notes. How did I not know about this?

Area15 is an experiential retail and entertainment complex located one mile west of the Las Vegas Strip. It includes sculptures and other art displays, as well as alcohol outlets and a restaurant.

With the complex offering so much, this may be our final stop for the evening since we can have drinks, dinner, and entertainment all in one place. However, if we only spend a small amount of time here, it is likely that we will have dinner somewhere.

Whatever we choose to do, I’ll keep you updated in the travel diary once I return. I’ll also share specific posts with any tips that I learn along the way that will be helpful for your visit.

Day 2

Max Tour (Grand Canyon West, Hoover Dam, and Seven Magic Mountains)

Our entire day will be spent with Max Tour, on the Grand Canyon West, Hoover Dam and Seven Magic Mountains Day Trip. The trip begins about 7am and ends about 7pm. Breakfast is provided on the tour and we will have lunch at the Grand Canyon. Therefore all we plan to do afterwards is have dinner somewhere, as of now.

Although I have been to both Hoover Dam and Seven Magic Mountains, I didn’t spend the time I would have liked to. Going on a tour gives me the opportunity to visit again and get that additional time in.

Feel free to check out past visits to Hoover Dam, Seven Magic Mountains, and our Pink Jeep Tour

Day 3

Go with the flow.

Since the first two days were thoroughly planned out, we left the third day to go with the flow of things, but also stay within our travel budget

We’ll have breakfast, hang out around the pool, and perhaps have lunch at the Fremont Experience like we have before in the past.

If there’s time, I’d also like to stroll through the Flamingo Hotel and/or have lunch at the Sugar Factory. But, we’ll see how the day goes.

With the itinerary planned, all I really need to think about is what I plan to wear. It’s always so hot when I go out there, so I want to make sure that I have the right clothes.

What to Wear

During the lock down last year, I collaborated with Femme Luxe and created a post on What to Wear to Las Vegas. When I look back over it, the dresses are a yes if you plan to get dressed to go to dinners and shows, but if you are just walking the strip and having fun, something less dressy and more comfortable would be ideal like the dresses from my most recent rue21 collaboration below.

rue21 Outfits That Will Make You Feel Like You’re on Vacation Even If You’re Not

Regardless of your clothing choice, don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses, camera, and perhaps a refillable water bottle to take along with you.

Final Thoughts

Are there any places that you feel are a MUST VISIT that I have left out?
