Last week, I was happy to push out a Life Lately post, where I shared what I had been up to over the past week or so. In that post, Lilac and $5 Milkshakes, I shared a lilac outfit that I have been wanting to wear out for quite some time.
I also shared a little bit about the Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies, as well as the Reshape Me app and the noticeable weight loss from incorporating some walking into my weeks.
If you are looking for some tips on weight loss and/or changing your habits, I would recommend the Reshape me app, as I have been committed for over four weeks now. In addition, I am listing two dvds that I’m currently using every morning below.
A Bit About This Past Week
This past week had its share of similarities, in terms of continuing to exercise. However, instead of just walking, I have added in morning workout videos.
I have returned to the old and original 30 Day Shred with Jillian Michaels and Power Walk from the Biggest Loser. Both were under $10. I’ve opted for the dvds because it’s easy for me to just go in the living room and pop on a video and get moving, as opposed to getting out the door to the gym.
Friday, I was able to see more of my weight loss and it has inspired me to, of course, keep going. Once you see those results, eating right and exercising starts to become easier and almost addictive.
What I’ve Been Reading
Aside from being mindful of healthy eating and exercising, I have been reading a lot and watching a lot of videos on mind management, financial planning for the long term, and overall personal growth.
A few books that I have been reading can be seen on my Instagram page which include the following:
- As a Man Thinketh by James Allen
- 10 Habits of Highly Successful Women by Glynnis MacNicol and Rachel Sklar
- The Prosperity Bible by Napoleon Hill
- Primary Greatness by Stephen R. Covey
- you2 (You Squared) by Price Pritchett
These books are a combination of my reading list from 2019 that I never made it around to until now, as well as some books that were recommended from a Bob Proctor video. I’m so grateful to have the time to invest in personal growth and development because it reallys gives you a competitive edge in life.
If you are looking to change your life or “level up”, I would highly recommend reading a combination of these books. If you are short on time, read As a Man Thinketh and you2. These books are short and cheap (under $10).
Also, if you have not started a personal library of high quality books to read, get started now. You can purchase books on Amazon and get them quickly, or you can buy cheap and used books from Thrift Books. I use both. You can also be on the lookout for these titles at thrift stores.
Camping Preparation
Aside from this, I have been preparing for an upcoming camping trip that I have been looking forward to since early summer. Since it’s been a while since we’ve been camping, I’ve been buying new things for me to use and enjoy while out such as a new and smaller two person tent, this very small three cup coffee kettle, and a lantern, just to name a few. I’ll be doing a video and a few posts as the day gets closer, as well as the actual weekend.
A few other things that I am looking to get before the camping trip are some new women’s hiking boots, possibly a camping cot, and new camping chair.
While I do still have my trusty camping chair and cooler, I’ve had the gear since 2017 and it’s really time to invest in some new things. Wouldn’t you agree?
Final Thoughts
Well, there you have it. A bit of what’s been going on this past week. There’s so much more in store that I can’t wait to share.
