What I’m Doing Now 01.19.20 – All Things Metaphysical

Oracle Cards

Sitting down to write what’s going on in life with the latest, What I’m Doing Now is truly a breath of fresh air. It allows me to share what’s going on and better connect with you without giving you a review, a new giveaway or travel tips of some sort. I simply get to be me and give you a glimpse into what’s on my mind at the time.

This week has been a lot about manifestation and metaphysical things including what I’m listening to, the workshop that I took yesterday, and a care package that was recently delivered.

Keep reading for all of the details.

Face Your Fears

Listening to Closer (to My Dreams)

This past week, I have been crushing on Closer (to My Dreams) by Goapele. The more I move into what I feel is the right direction, the more I feel like I am getting closer to my dreams.

Here’s a snippet of the lyrics. They are so inspiring.

[Intro]

Closer to my dreams

It’s coming over me

I’m getting higher

Closer to my dreams

I’m getting higher and higher

Feel it in my sleep

Aside from this song, my routine playlists have been playing on Spotify. There’s not too much more that’s new in this category.

Is there a song that inspires you to achieve your dreams? What is it?

Wanting All Things Metaphysical

To get closer to my dreams and desired life, one tool that I use often is my Book of Positive Aspects. I’ve talked a lot about that here on the blog. A quick keyword search will take you right there.

In a nutshell, a Book of Positive Aspects is a notebook that you choose to write out your desired reality or what you would like to manifest. It is based off of the teachings of Abraham Hicks written by Esther and Jerry Hicks.

I first learned about this manifestation tool some years back while reading Money and the Law of Attraction by Esther and Jerry Hicks. The very first time I did it, I had no results. After sticking with it, I now use it as one of my main manifestation tools.

Thinking About Yesterday’s Tarot Workshop

Speaking of Abraham Hicks…

While I was at the Tarot Reading Workshop yesterday, our teacher and facilitator brought up various references from Abraham Hicks. One particular reference was made while we were discussing the Hangman tarot card

The quote is as follows…

“Be glad that you don’t have instant manifestation. This buffer of time is really your friend. It’s your opportunity to observe and to ponder and to visualize, and to remember. It’s your opportunity to take an Emotional Journey that might be different from what you’re actually observing.”

The Moon

With all of this being said, it made me feel good because I am very familiar with the teachings and it worked right into the teachings of the tarot.

During the workshop, we mostly learned how to interpret the major arcana from the Rider Waite Tarot Deck. We also learned a bit about the minor arcana and how to do various spreads when getting started.

Since, I don’t use the Rider Waite Tarot Deck right now, it was definitely an interesting class to take while at the metaphysical shop.

Wanting My Goodies

Speaking of metaphysical shops….

For the past few weeks, I had been wanting to head over to one of my favorite metaphysical shops in Indianapolis. Only, the weather hasn’t been the best to be doing a lot of highway driving. So, I asked a friend to do a bit of shopping for me and send me a package.

And, what do you know? Presto! The package arrived a few days back and I now have a lot of the goodies that I need to make it through the rest of the month peacefully and fully aligned.

In my package was some of my favorite incense including Palo Santo, Protection, and Meditation. The package introduced me to a new scent called The Moon. I’m looking forward to using it on Friday, January 24th for the new moon.

Follow my Pinterest Board for new moon self-care rituals.

Aside from the incense, there were a few bundles of sage and a variety of colored candles including my favorite pink, white, and yellow candles.

I am so grateful that I was able to have the things that I needed and wanted sent to me without having to make that commute.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
