A few years ago I wrote a post, 5 Reasons Why I Limit My Blogging During the Holidays. In that post, I discussed important reasons why I limit my blogging during the holidays, but I neglected to include the topic of spirituality. In today’s post, I want to expand a little more upon that initial post since completing my Lifebook.
What is Lifebook?
Lifebook is a way to design your desired life created by Jon and Missy Butcher. I first learned about this by coming across a random Youtube advertisement by Mindvalley. I had taken other Mindvalley masterclasses in the past, so decided, why not? It has been one of the best decisions that I have ever made.
Read more about our Lifebook experience here in Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 or sign up now to take the free online Mindvalley Masterclass.
After completing the Mindvalley Masterclass, I prepared my desk area with everything that I would need to be comfortable and efficient at completing this major life task.
I spent a month of evenings, nestled up in my most comfortable chair at my computer desk visualizing my desired life and writing out my visions for each of the 12 life categories.
Get Comfortable
Just so you know. Yes, you will spend quite a bit of time visualizing your best life. While the Masterclass is only about an hour and a half long, the actual class and work that is to be done can take a month at minimum. So just make sure that you are comfortable.

While each category is equally important, I felt that spirituality is one of the categories I needed to focus on during my down time this year; primarily around holidays. I immediately knew that I wanted to share this information on the blog.
Addressing My Spiritual Well-Being
In my Lifebook, the category is entitled Spiritual Life. On that page of my book, I explain how I want to live my life in a spiritual way not religious. For example, I wrote that I want to continue my daily meditation routine and practices, but expand upon it by attending a Spiritual Retreat in Texas that I’ve had my eyes on for a few years now.
The plan is to attend this year, if all possible. If not, Modern Mystery School also offers spiritual classes that I am interested in. These are only a few of the many things that I want to do that contributes to my spiritual well-being.
Final Thoughts
Intentionally limiting my blogging during the holidays allows me that time away to focus on my self-care and spiritual well-being. It also allows me the break I need to reflect on the year that has passed and visualize what I want for my blogging business and personal life during the in the coming year.
What are your plans in addressing your spiritual needs during the holidays?
