Hiiiiiiii!
It’s been a while, I know. The past few months have been a bit different than other months, so I hadn’t been blogging much and there was no travel besides our Indianapolis Winter Getaway in December.
So, I’m sure you’re wondering, well, what’s been up? A.L.O.T.
COVID Exposures
For starters, we have been running into mega COVID exposures and every time I look up, one of us has to quarantine. Because of this, I’ve been working remotely a lot, and the boys have been home a lot more, too.
I can’t tell you how sick and tired I am of having to take COVID tests. My hope is that this too shall pass…sooner than later. It’s so draining and has become the center of everything that we do.
CEMP Certification
Aside from funky a*s COVID (haha), I’ve been working on my CEMP certification for work. This is something that I had been wanting to achieve for quite a while and the opportunity finally presented itself. Thank you manifestation techniques. It’s been a lot of work, but it’s done.
My goal was the have everything wrapped up and completed by my birthday on January 31st. I missed my personal deadline by a day and had it wrapped up and submitted yesterday. Whoohooo!
What’s cool about this is that my youngest brother also had his EMT certification exam the day before mine and passed!
Whoohooo! I’m so proud of him!
Certifications, degrees, programs, classes, etc. really take a considerable amount of time and discipline, so when someone achieves something, I get so excited! I also feel like people should celebrate their wins. I don’t feel that they need to wait for others to celebrate them. I mean, if they do, that’s great, but taking the time to celebrate you and your accomplishments is top tier.
Collaborations
Since my extra time had been spent dealing with COVID and studying, I hadn’t had a considerable amount of time to dedicate to brand collaborations. Sorry, I couldn’t share any fun new things with you, but, I’m back and have some gorgeous, luxe stye items to share that you may really enjoy including a planner, some jewelry, and, of course, some clothes. All, right in time for Valentine’s Day.
So, sit tight, because over the next few days (while we are home and snowed in) I’ll be sharing all the details in full reviews on the blog!
Oh, wait! I did do a quick Black History Month Instagram collaboration with rue21. I shared two shirts that were from their collection which included Muhammad Ali and Maya Angelou.
Check out the deets below:

Final Thoughts
Well, these are just a few of the things that have been going on. There’s more, but I’ll get to all of it soon enough. In the meantime, check out the following posts!
