A Look Back at 2019 and My Free E-book

Brennon

This blog, Just Brennon began on its own domain in 2014. Initially, it began as a platform to document our journey through life. As I began to get serious about it, I wrote to inspire people to be happy and live their best lives possible which rings even more true today.

So, let’s have a look back at 2019 and these many posts that continue to inspire people to be happy and live their best lives possible.

“The happiest people don’t have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything.”

For starters, I have to say, 2019 was one of the most difficult years personally that I have ever encountered. However, there were great times and great accomplishments in between the not so great times. With that being said, I am most proud of myself for remaining optimistic even through the roughest times and still be able to show up in my own life, and on the blog, as well.

Despite any difficulties, a myriad of great accomplishments were achieved on the blog in 2019.

Starting a Blog

Increased Posts of Value

In each post, my goal is to provide value and inspiration. I am so happy that I wrote even more valuable posts. From these posts, I appreciate the feedback given from readers. Reader feedback is very valuable because it gives more direction for future content.

Personally, when I receive feedback from readers, I implement their feedback and suggestions. For example, one of the most valuable pieces of information I received in 2019 came from two separate mothers who asked me to upload instructions or instruction sheets into reviews.

This is by far, remarkable feedback. Doing this adds incredible value to the posts and keeps people coming back to the post as needed. So, moving forward, when doing reviews, I will be sure to upload instructions into the posts or at minimum add a photo of the instruction sheet, as I did with the Luna LED Floor Lamp by Brightech.

Personal Growth

Aside from feedback and reviews, I really enjoyed taking you all on my Lifebook journey. That project took a month to complete, but so much more work went into it behind the scenes over the years.

For example, although creating the book and ideas took a month, there were years of work that went into that before that final project. It’s been years of working with the process of visualization, my thoughts, and being clear on what I want to manifest.

In addition, it’s been years of reading books on personal development, creating my vision boards, writing in my Book of Positive Aspects, creating my personal mission statement, etc.

While it is a big change from all the travel posts over the past few years, I enjoy sharing the information on the blog. My hope is that the information inspires people to create more of the life of their dreams. So, you’ll definitely see more Personal Growth related posts on the blog.

With this being said, my gift to you in this post is a free copy of my e-book, 3 Easy Methods to Bring Your Desired Life Closer to Reality. This e-book includes activities and resources that are not overwhelming and easy to understand.

What’s the Word on Travel?

Travel during 2019 was veryyyy slow. I started out with a weekend trip in February to attend the Glam Lab Makeup course in Chicago and be certified as a Makeup Artist

During the middle of the year, I spent varying times in Indiana which included my oldest son and I taking a day trip to the new Ikea in Fishers, Indiana, doing some lake house camping in Batesville, and also spending a day at the Indy 500 Pre-Qualifying Races.

Not much other travel took place besides our recent mini road trip to New York for Christmas. You can read all about that in my New York Travel Diary

My goal is to add at least three new states for 2020. I think that is more than reasonable.

What I’m Doing Now

On a more personal blogging note, I’ve been returning to my series of posts, What I’m Doing Now. I love these posts, as they allow me to just write about what’s going on in that moment of life. These posts also allow me to better connect with my readers, as I share a little bit more about my daily happenings. The plan is for them to go live two Sundays per month. I’m really excited about them!

Collaborations and Acknowledgements

Again, this year, I worked with a lot of amazing companies and individuals, and I am very thankful for the collaborations.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

This work has earned me a spot at presenting during a luncheon to people who are interested in learning how to monetize their passions online.

You may enjoy reading my review of Rader Family Farms!

If you are interested in collaborating, please visit my Work with Me page.

Over 200 posts were created this year and I more than doubled my traffic to the site. With this, I earned a top spot on the 92 Best Family Lifestyle Blogs. Again, I am very grateful.

Final Thoughts on 2019

Thank you 2019 for the growth and lessons to be learned. Thank you to each person who supported the blog through reading, sharing, collaborating, etc.

Let’s continue to rock on into 2020 bringing about much more growth, passion, and success
