I finally did it! I completed writing my 100 Life Goals. About three months ago, I was listening to a new podcast on my way to work. The podcast explained how we should create a list of 50 things that we want over the next 10 years. I was pretty intrigued, so of course, I continued to listen.
50 Goals First
The podcast went on to explain that in addition to simply writing the list, we should group them by how long it would take to accomplish those things. He grouped them by one year, three years, five years, and 10 years.
I told myself that this was very doable and an interesting project. Later that day, I made time to sit and think about what I wanted to accomplish over the next 10 years and wrote them down. I then went back and color-coded the list by year(s) which gave me a feeling of great accomplishment. I felt as if I was simply adding to my Lifebook.

Encouraging Others
I was excited about the project that I shared with my younger brother and a few other people. Of the few people that I shared it with, the only person that completed the project was my younger brother. In fact, we even met for breakfast one morning with our notebooks to discuss what we had written and why. It was such an inspirational breakfast.

Moving On…
Again, I was listening to a podcast on the way to work and in this one (I believe it was Jim Rhon), he said to come up with a list of 100 life goals. Although, I had already come up with my list of 50, working on the next 50 took me a few days. Not because I didn’t know what I wanted to put down, but because I was curious to see what others had written for their 100 Life Goals.
Continued Curiosity
Out of continued curiosity, I did a Google search, as well as a Pinterest search to see what all was out there. I wanted to see what people were putting down and were they accomplishing their goals. I found several posts of people sharing their personal 100 Life Goals, as well as some generic ideas to add to your own 100 Life Goals list.
My Personal 100 Life Goals
After about three days of looking around online, I created my 100 Life Goals by adding an additional 50 to the ones that I had already written. So before I list them, I want to share this as a disclaimer.
Disclaimer: I hope that this list inspires you and encourages you to come up with your own list of 100 Life Goals and to begin working on them. Working with someone else makes it even more delightful.
Also, your goals list does not have to be a mountain of what feels like grand unattainable things. Add in some smaller items that can be done rather quickly. By doing this, you will be giving yourself momentum to keep going.
For example, in February, I worked on our Emergency Preparedness Kit and Tote for two weeks. You can read about it in this post, Emergency Bug-Out Bags from Dollar Tree and Wal-Mart.
And in March, I worked on making the boys each a travel photo album. I’ll make a post about that later. But, in the meantime, it looks like, I’m working on one thing each month. I’m perfectly fine with this pace.
And, who knows? There may be months when I don’t want to work on anything. And, that’s okay, too. These are personal, and we can choose to go at them at any pace we choose.
Nevertheless, below are my 100 Life Goals. I’ve also linked similar blog posts to the goals for you to check out some ideas.
