Clearly, I am obsessed with this denim shirt by Thrill that I found at Citi Trends for about $16. It is all over my recent blog posts for the month of February. And, what do you know? It will be appearing again in my recent March posts.
But, what can I say. It’s so cute, though!
Showing up on the blog in the same thing isn’t uncommon for us. In 2017, I grabbed my boys neon shirts from Walmart to wear on a weekend adventure. One wore orange and the other wore green. The idea behind the shirts was to have the boys in something comfortable to wear so that I could also get good photos of them in – which did happen.
But, what also happened was that almost every photo that I took of them that season, they were captured in those shirts. Wonk! Wonk!
They wore the shirts to Coca Cola World in Atlanta, Georgia, Dinosaur World in Plant City, Florida, The Mojave Desert in Las Vegas, Nevada, and camping here in town. So many places around the US in the same darn shirt. LOL.
Anywho, back to this denim shirt.
I am in LOVE with this long length, button up, denim shirt with black net patchwork. It could easily be a denim shirt dress – depending on how tall you are.
I lucked up on it while searching through the racks at Citi Trends earlier in February before heading to Chicago. I wanted something a bit trendy – that could be dressed up or dressed down. I also wanted something comfortable.
One Shirt Multiple Ways
Aside from the fact that this shirt is trendy and comfortable, it can also be worn multiple ways. For example, while in Chicago, I didn’t plan to wear a fur jacket over it. I was actually heading out of the hotel and said, let me bring this – just in case. Instead of carrying it, I just put it on like it was a part of the outfit. It wasn’t, but I am not mad at the end result. I actually love it!
Aside from wearing it with the fur vest, I was able to layer it with a plain black shirt underneath, as well as with my It Works! shirt underneath.
Later on while in the hotel room, I set up my tripod and captured some photos wearing the shirt with just some black net stockings on. Totally adorable – if you ask me! This would have easily made the perfect boudoir photo shoot.
But, wait. It doesn’t end there. The following two weekends, I spent my time in Indianapolis wearing the darn shirt, again. At that point, I knew it was pure obsession.
This Weekend and Final Thoughts
Anywho, this past Sunday while at IKEA in Fishers, Indiana, I paired it with different jewelry, gym shoes instead of boots, and with a long sleeve shirt peeking from underneath. This combination was extremely casual and comfortable; especially with all of the walking we were doing.
I can still see me wearing this shirt in the future on weekends, but perhaps, not every weekend. LOL. The weather is still pretty chilly out, but when it warms up, I can definitely see me wearing it as a dress with casual white shoes. What do you think?
Do you have a favorite weekend wardrobe piece?
