10 Life-Changing Things About Me Worth Sharing

A Peek Inside Garfield Conservatory

I’ve been away from work and the blog for the past few weeks due to the passing of my Dad a few weeks back. It still doesn’t seem real, but it is.

Anyway, I figured since I’m going through what feels like a new beginning, I wanted to reintroduce myself here on the blog and share 10 life-changing things about me worth sharing.

If something resonates with you that you read, please leave a comment and we’ll chat together in the comments over the next few days.

#1 I have come to absolutely love blogging over the past five years and without having a space to share our adventures or my thoughts, I feel lost. So, this blog is very important to me and I am glad that you are here.

#2 My Dad was a very, very important person in my life and the thought of him not being here anymore saddens me a great deal. But, I know we come here to leave here, so it’s important to collect memories and take pictures because one day that’s all you’ll have.

#3 We love camping and cabin camping. Since we did all of our tent camping with my Dad, I can’t promise that it’s something that I will ever return to, but cabin camping is our jam and we’ll continue doing that as often as we can. As a matter of fact, tomorrow, I’ll be posting about our recent stay at Indian Lakes RV Campground in Batesville, Indiana.

11 Reasons Why I Love Camping

#4 I love the color pink and no matter how much I try and run from it, I always return back to it. I have a pink cooler, pink camping chairs, pink flamingos – just everything…in pink.

#5 In 2017, my boys and I journeyed to 17 states. It makes me feel good knowing that we have created so many memories together and that they are well-traveled within the United States.

Eventually, we will make it to all 50, but 17 is a fantastic start. Even if you can’t travel far and often. Travel some, as much as you can even if it’s just exploring your own state.

#6 I have two certificates in makeup artistry. One is from JLS Makeup School in Hollywood, California and the other is from Glam Labs Makeup Studio in Chicago, Illinois. Here’s the crazy thing. I don’t practice it, but I do love makeup. One day on the blog, I’ll post all of those photos.

#7 This past month, I did my first online bible study program through Proverbs 31 Ministries. The book used to study with besides the bible was called Keep Showing Up. You can read my initial thoughts in the post, Keep Showing Up for Your Relationship.

I guarantee, once you read this book and/or participate in this study, you will appreciate your relationship a lot more and look at it from a very different perspective.

Overall, I am extremely happy with the layout of the program, the videos, discussions, emails, etc. While I do not plan to participate in the next one due to the topic, I do plan to go back and pick up an archived book and topic which is more fitting for the season of life that I am entering.

#8 This summer I want to complete the Kentucky Bourbon Trail in Kentucky and the Donut Trail in Ohio. I want those passports and t-shirts, dammit! LOL I have talked so much about the Kentucky Bourbon Trail on this blog, mainly during the summers, but I have yet to accomplish it. One day soon, I will. And, of course, you’ll know about it.

#9 I have returned back to journaling and manifestation scripting in my Book of Positive Aspects.I can’t wait to see these manifestations unfold! If you are certain that you want something, you have to believe you are worthy of having it.

#10 Several weddings are in the air, so I have been back in the gym “working on my fitness” in my Fergie singing voice. 🙂 I haven’t been in a steady routine, but I am inching my way there. I hope to see some progress soon enough.

What have you been up to lately?
