My June Summer Lookbook & Recap

My June Summer Lookbook & Recap

Yesterday, I was reading an old letter that my aunt sent to me in February. It said, 129 days until summer. When I wrote her back yesterday, there were 89 days left in summer. Where is the time flying? I can’t believe that today is the last day of June.

With that in mind, I wanted to create a roundup post of fashion looks that I adored in June, as well as a quick recap of happenings.

People love recaps and roundups, especially if they missed some of the things that were going on in previous posts. I know I do!

So, without further adieu, here’s a recap of June.

My June Summer Lookbook & Recap

Water Sports and Swimsuits

When June began, I started taking water aerobics for the first time and my youngest son started taking swim lessons. Being in that water with the sun shining on me has been so satisfying. In addition to that, we spent a day at the water park using a few fun cameras. So, there was a lot of water sports going on.

Throughout June, I mostly wore my floral rue21 swimsuit. I love how cofortable this swimsuit is and the summery pops of color.

There was one occasion where I wore last year’s swimsuit from Shein. Although it is a one piece, it has a white ruffle top and yellow floral bottom.

Both of these swimsuits are fashionable and can be found in my Water Aerobics Highlights on Instagram.

Next month, I plan to switch it up and wear some other swimsuits that are also from Shein or Femme Luxe. Hopefully, I can get some better photos to post in next month’s July Lookbook & Recap.

Creating Vacation Looks from rue21

The swimsuit was not the only thing that I wore this month from rue21. In fact, this month’s biggest collaboration was with rue21 where I showcased a variety of easy looks for vacation in this post, rue21 Outfits That Will Make You Feel Like You’re on Vacation Even If You’re Not.

Below are links to some of the dresses from from the haul.

This haul from rue21 has been my most absolute favorite to date. The only thing that bothered me with this haul was that the dresses show more cleavage than I typically like. But, other than that I loved it.

Each dress was easy to dress up with a straw-hat, sunglasses, and bag. Not only are these dresses affordable and great for weekends, but they are perfect for our upcoming trip to Las Vegas.

Travel is On the Horizon!

Speaking of our Las Vegas Itinerary, I’ve posted some helpful travel tips as reminders for us, but also to help you as you gear up for your travels, as well.

A few posts have included 5 Tips for Smooth Travel and Looking After Yourself While Traveling is Essential for Your Health.

In the meantime, check out our Las Vegas Itinerary, Visit #3 here. Is there something that I need to squeeze in that I missed on this trip?

AW Bridal – Gorgeous, Cheap Dresses

Aside from the rue21 collaboration, I was extremely excited to work with AW Bridal for the first time. When I created my $250 wedding series a few years back, I wanted so badly to collaborate with a bridal company on a dress and real flowers.

At the time, that didn’t happen. It just so happened this month when I started back working on the series. I was and still am excited!

I honestly don’t know if the photos on the site or mine, do these dresses complete justice. They. Are. Gorgeous. And, for the price of less than $100 for sizes ranging from 0-30, you can’t beat it!

I’ll be posting more in this dress as the summer continues. How can I not with it being so gorgeous?

What I’m Doing Now in Fashion Nova Jumpsuits

Lastly, I’ve been doing some What I’m Doing Now posts to keep you all updated on what’s going o in real life. In those, I’ve been talking about some of the back pain that I have been experiencing, possibly some fertility issues, as well as anxiety due to returning to the office full-time.

In each of those posts, I’ve been sharing products that I have been trying such as the Modern Fertility Test, Mira Pro and Genexa. I’ve also been clear in labeling some of them as not sponsored, so that you are clear that this is what I’m actually using.

If available, I do use any coupon codes that I have for any discounts to save you money, if not, I use affiliate links.

For example, if you choose to take the at-home Modern Fertility Test, you can save $10 now. My personal at home test sample has already been shipped out, I’m patiently awaiting the results.

Miscellaneous

Aside from that, my most recent What I’m Doing Now was so much fun and hilarious. I tried out a newspaper photo studio background and my 10 year old shot the photos.

He did such as great job! I am so proud of him. Of course, I had to pay him. But, that’s okay because he certainly earned it.

My initial plan was to wear all pink outfits for a future post, but I quickly realized those looks were not compatible with the background, so I ended up just grabbing some jumpsuits from my clothing rack. Both of them just happened to be from Fashion Nova. My goal is to one day (hopefully soon) partner with them.

Come through Fashion Nova! Come through!

Final Thoughts

Aside from this, not much has been going on besides working either in my full time position or for the blog and NewsBreak. Speaking of NewsBreak, I finally hit 100 posts! I’m so excited and can’t wait to virtually celebrate really soon!

Again, my goal for July’s Lookbook & Recap is to have some full length, lookbook style photos to share. But, for now, this will have to do.

What’s something that you would like to see in these round ups?

This post does contain affiliate links to some products mentioned.
